The Vascular Ultrasound Registry Review is a seminar designed to prepare Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographers to sit for the Vascular Ultrasound Registry.
The goals of the seminar are to provide a review of critical elements of vascular sonography and prepare participants to sit for the registry examination.
The review course is 80 hours and covers the following topics:
Vascular principles and instrumentation
Sound and propagation
Transducers and Doppler
Imaging principles and artifacts
Physiology and fluid dynamics
Physical principles in general
Safety provisions
Quality assurance
Vascular anatomy, physiology, testing and hemodynamics
Vascular disease, signs and symptoms
Vascular testing
Vascular quality assurance
Applicants for this seminar must be Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
